Express Nursing are recruiting for a Mental Health HCA in Suffolk. The client is a Level 2 rehabilitation service, with 23 beds across two wards. The service supports women who have a mental health need and/or a diagnosis of a Personality Disorder (PD). People may also have other co-morbid diagnoses such as mild learning disability and co-existing physical health conditions, or be transitioning from CYPMHS services.
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a range of Mental Health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
You will work alongside the team helping to provide a specialist provision. The service has an enhanced level of support to allow people with continuing challenging behaviour and high support needs to be cared for in the least restrictive setting possible, but within a service which is robust and structured enough to meet their ongoing needs and risks. Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
