About the role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to oversee and drive the delivery of high-quality complex care services across Yorkshire, North West, and North East regions.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and Local Authorities, and will provide clinical leadership, governance, and strategic oversight to a multidisciplinary care team, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

As an experienced Clinical Lead within Complex Care you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to complex care teams, including nurses, healthcare assistants, and support staff.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of care in line with CQC, local authority, and ICB requirements.
  • Act as the primary clinical point of contact for internal teams, commissioners, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure robust clinical governance frameworks are in place, including risk management, incident reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with ICBs, Local Authorities, case management companies, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement care pathways.
  • Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of clinical staff, promoting professional development and best practice.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes, producing reports for senior management and commissioners.
  • Lead audit and compliance activities to ensure regulatory and contractual adherence.
  • Provide expert advice on complex patient care plans, medication management, and care escalation procedures.
  • Contribute to business development activities by advising on clinical feasibility, service models, and risk management.

Candidate Requirements

 

Person Specification / Requirements:

  • Registered healthcare professional (RN or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in complex care.
  • Proven experience working with ICBs, Local Authorities, and health commissioning bodies.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks, CQC standards, and quality governance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple regions and travel as required within Yorkshire, North West, and North East.
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and able to drive clinical excellence and innovation.

Desirable:

  • Experience in business development within complex care services.
  • Knowledge of community-based and residential care provision models.
