About the role

We are a growing nurse-led complex care provider delivering high-quality care packages for clients with catastrophic injuries, spinal injuries, brain injuries, and long-term neurological conditions.

Our focus is on delivering specialist care packages funded privately, through case management companies, deputyships, and litigation settlements, working closely with solicitors, case managers, and medico-legal professionals.

Due to expansion across Yorkshire, the North East, and North West, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the private complex care sector.

Key Targets

  • Secure new privately funded complex care packages
  • Develop relationships with key case management companies and law firms
  • Deliver revenue growth through high-margin private sector referrals

Success in the Role

Within the first 12 months you will:

  • Establish strong relationships with case management companies across the region
  • Secure multiple privately funded complex care packages
  • Build a sustainable referral pipeline

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building strategic relationships with case management companies, personal injury solicitors, deputyships, and private healthcare professionals to secure high-value complex care packages.

This role requires a strong understanding of catastrophic injury care pathways, medico-legal cases, and privately funded care packages.

Business Development

Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting the private complex care market

Identify and secure new care packages from case management companies and injury solicitors

Build relationships with:

  • Case Management companies
  • Personal Injury Solicitors
  • Clinical Negligence Solicitors
  • Deputyship and Court of Protection teams
  • Rehabilitation providers
  • Private hospitals and neuro rehab centres

Relationship Management

  • Establish long-term partnerships with key referrers and decision-makers
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking events
  • Deliver presentations and service introductions to case managers and legal teams

Pipeline Development

  • Generate a pipeline of high-value complex care referrals
  • Manage enquiries from initial referral through to package mobilisation
  • Work closely with clinical teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients

Market Intelligence

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of:

  • Case management sector
  • Catastrophic injury care market
  • Competitor providers
  • Funding pathways (litigation, deputyship, private funding)

Internal Collaboration

  • Work with clinical leads and operations teams to design bespoke care packages
  • Support tender responses and service proposals
  • Provide market feedback to senior leadership

 

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Proven business development experience in complex care, healthcare, or community care
  • Experience working with:
    • Case management companies
    • Personal injury / clinical negligence solicitors
    • Medico-legal sector
  • Track record of winning high-value care packages
  • Strong professional network within the catastrophic injury sector

Desirable

  • Experience in complex care / neuro rehab / spinal injury services
  • Understanding of Court of Protection and litigation funding
  • Existing relationships with case managers and legal firms

Skills

  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills
  • Commercially driven with a focus on high-margin opportunities
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate independently and manage a sales pipeline
